In the fall of 2016, a seasonal storm resulted in damage to several structures in Ketchikan. One of which was Snapper Carson’s wooden pier and float. With a degree in civil engineering, new homeowner Jeff Wedekind launched a project to rebuild to marine industry standards — with concrete footings, tub floats and steel piling.
